The Church Itself

For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior

— Ephesians 5:23

The Church Itself

The Catholic Church is the mystical body of Christ.

“The Church is the Body of Christ. Through the Spirit and his action in the sacraments, above all the Eucharist, Christ, who once was dead and is now risen, establishes the community of believers as his own body.” CCC 805

The Church is a supernatural organism different from any other organisation on earth.

So the Church is unique and of priceless value to every member. A treasure.
